Looks like it's that time of the month again, right? Come on, you know what I'm talking about... Band Of The Month!
So, without further ado I bring to you the lucky stars to hold the October crown – Training Icarus.
What can we say? It's kind of an obvious choice. After having seen their outstanding live performances several times this year, reviewing the fantastic self-titled demo and then of course the breathtaking debut album Stand Aside it seems just about right to me.
For those of you who haven't the slightest idea of who I'm talking about, Training Icarus are a four-piece melodic metal band from London, UK. Training Icarus formed in 2007 and were originally composed of two pairs of siblings up until late 2012, where the band now consists of Martin Eldon on guitars, Michael Bates on drums and the sibling duo bassist Jayson and vocalist Leigh Turner.
Just in case you caught my recent review of Stand Aside and are wondering 'why can I not find this album on youtube?!' slow down friends and fiends, it is yet to be released. ;) When? Monday October 14th, and to follow the release T.I. are playing in Gravesend, Kent at the Red Lion for the album launch party. So if you're out and about in the London/Essex area go catch them live and pick yourself up a copy of Stand Aside.Read the full story
